Individual, Couples, Marriage and Family Counseling Experience

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Washington and a Master of Arts Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Chapman University.

I trained for over 2 years at the Marriage Recovery Center in Poulsbo WA, a destination marriage restoration therapy and counseling center for people from around the country that specializes in crisis marriage counseling.

I have experience counseling individuals and couples who have lost custody of their children due to poor choices including:

• addiction
• co-dependency
• abuse
• dysfunctional generational issues/behaviors

I work with these clients to improve their relationships, help them learn to take better care of themselves and how to be a healthy parent with the goals of regaining custody and breaking generational patterns.

I also volunteered in a VA facility that offered wrap around care for homeless veterans. This experience, along with growing up in a military community, has given me a deeper appreciation and understanding of the demands of military service on the individual and their families.

For my practicum I worked as an elementary school counselor for a year working with children and their families. I also practiced part time at Bainbridge Youth Services, providing individual and family counseling to teens and families.
